Onoff Business credits give your account extra flexibility beyond your monthly call and SMS limits. They allow you to:
- Make international or premium calls
- Send texts to special numbers
- Continue usage when your plan limits are reached
This guide explains how credits work, how to purchase them, and what happens if you run out.
Credits as a Prepaid Wallet
Credits act as a shared prepaid balance for your entire B2B account. They are automatically used when:
- Calling or texting destinations not included in your plan
- Reaching monthly call or SMS/MMS limits
Conversion: 100 credits = 1 € or 1 £, depending on your billing currency
Purchasing Credits
Only Admins or Owners can buy credits for the account. Steps to purchase:
- Log in to the Administration interface
Estimating Credit Usage
Onoff Business provides a credit calculator to estimate usage before making calls or sending SMS:
- Select the origin country of your phone number
- Select the destination country
- Enter the amount to see expected credit consumption
The tool provides a transparent breakdown using Onoff’s pricing engine.
Credits Usage
If your account balance reaches 0 €, users will be unable to:
- Call international or premium numbers
- Send messages requiring credits
Calls:
- The system reserves 3 minutes of balance before a call starts
- If there isn’t enough balance, the call won’t start
- During the call, the balance is checked every 3 minutes
- A beep plays 1 minute before the call ends
SMS:
- Messages will not be sent without credits
- Users receive the following notification:
“We couldn’t send your SMS because your B2B account doesn’t have enough credits. Please contact your Onoff B2B manager to fix the situation.”
Important
- Credits are shared across the entire account, not per user
- Monthly limits, automatic recharge, and credit alerts are currently unavailable
- Credit history and usage can be viewed in the billing section (coming soon)
Credits help your team go beyond plan limits, keeping operations running smoothly for international calls and messages.
