Credits are a prepaid balance shared by your whole account. They cover usage that is not included in your plan.
When credits are used
Credits are deducted automatically when a member:
- calls or texts a destination not included in your plan (international, special numbers);
- goes over your plan's monthly call or SMS/MMS limits.
Conversion: 100 credits = €1 or £1, depending on your billing currency.
Buy credits
Only the account Owner can buy credits. Admins can view the balance.
- In the admin console, go to Manage product > Credits.
- Choose a suggested amount or enter a custom amount.
- Confirm the purchase. It is charged to your default payment card.
Estimate usage
The credit calculator estimates the cost of a call or SMS before you make it:
- Select your number's country.
- Select the destination country.
- Enter a duration or number of messages to see how many credits you need.
When your balance runs out
If your balance reaches 0, members can no longer call or text destinations that require credits. Usage included in your plan keeps working.
Calls:
- 3 minutes of credit are reserved before the call starts. If the balance is too low, the call does not start.
- During the call, the balance is checked every 3 minutes.
- A beep plays 1 minute before the call is cut off.
SMS: the message is not sent and the member sees a message asking them to contact the account manager.
The member should then contact the Owner, who is the only one able to top up credits.
Current limitations
- Credits are shared across the account: you cannot set a limit per member.
- Automatic top-up and balance alerts are not available yet. Keep an eye on your balance.
- Usage history is not yet available in the billing section.
