This article explains how to add, edit and remove team members and how to manage their numbers. These actions are available to the Owner and Admins, from the admin console (admin.onoffbusiness.com).

Members, numbers and billing

  • Each member has their own sign-in credentials.
  • A member can have one or more Onoff numbers, within your plan's limit.
  • Adding or removing members is free. You are only billed for the licenses on your account, assigned or not.

Add a member

  1. In the console, go to Manage team > Members.
  2. Click Create member on the right.
  3. Enter the first name, last name and email address.
  4. Choose the role: Admin, Team Lead or User.
  5. Choose one or more departments if needed. The department must already exist: see "Organize your team with departments".
  6. Confirm.

The member immediately receives an email with a temporary password and can sign in.

Edit a member

  1. Go to Manage team > Members.
  2. Select the member and open their Details.
  3. Click Edit, change the email address, role or departments, then save.

The change is immediate.

Assign a number to a member

  1. Go to Manage team > Members and select the member.
  2. Open the Numbers tab, then click Add.
  3. Choose an available number and confirm.

The number is active immediately. Each number uses one license. If no license is available, the Owner must buy one in Manage product > Licenses.

To keep an existing number, see "Port a number to Onoff Business".

Remove a number from a member

  1. Go to Manage team > Members and select the member.
  2. Open the Numbers tab.
  3. Click the three dots to the right of the number, then Delete number.
  4. Confirm.

The license is freed up and can be used for another number. To hand the number over to a colleague instead of deleting it, see "Reassign a number".

Delete a member

  1. Go to Manage team > Members.
  2. Click the three dots to the right of the member, then Delete employee.
  3. Confirm.

The member's licenses are freed up. Reassign their numbers before deleting them if your customers still need to reach those numbers.
