Every member of your Onoff Business account has a role, which sets what they can see and do in the admin console and the web app. There are four roles.
The four roles

| Team Lead | Only members of the departments they lead | Sales lead, customer care lead |
| User | Only their own data | Team member |
The Owner is the person who created the account. There is only one per account. Admins cannot delete or edit the Owner.

The Team Lead role
This role gives a manager full visibility over their team, without access to the rest of the company or to settings.
- They lead one or more departments.
- A department can have several Team Leads.
- They can lead a department they are not a member of.
- If they no longer lead any department (for example after the department is deleted), they keep the role but only see their own data.
Assign or change a role
Only the Owner and Admins can assign roles. The Owner role is assigned automatically when the account is created.
From a member's profile
- Go to Members and open the member's profile.
- Click Edit and change the role.
- For a Team Lead, choose the departments they lead by selecting Lead rather than Member for each one.
- Save.
From a department
Open the department in Manage team > Departments, then click Manage > Add or remove leads.
When adding members in bulk
Choose the role in the Role column and the departments in the Department column. A confirmation screen summarizes the new permissions.
View permissions
Every member can see the permissions for each role in My settings > Roles and permissions, or with the Compare permissions link on a member's profile.
