If calls or messages don't reach your phone, or arrive without a notification, notification settings are almost always the cause. Follow the steps for your phone.
iPhone
- Open Settings > Notifications > Onoff Business.
- Turn on Allow Notifications, sounds, badges and banners.
- In Settings > Onoff Business, check that mobile data is allowed.
- Check that Do Not Disturb or Focus is off, or allows Onoff Business.
- If nothing changes, sign out of the app, delete it, reinstall it from the App Store and sign back in. Accept all requested notifications and permissions, except Onoff Calls, which should stay off.
Android
Menus vary by brand and Android version.
- In the app: open My account > App settings > Notifications and turn on all options.
- Permissions: in Settings > Apps > Onoff Business > Permissions, turn on Contacts, Microphone and Phone. Android can automatically remove permissions from rarely used apps: check them regularly.
- System notifications: in Settings > Apps > Onoff Business > Notifications, turn on all categories (required since Android 12).
- Battery: in Settings > Battery, set Onoff Business to Unrestricted, and exclude it from battery optimization, power saving and background limits.
- Do Not Disturb: check that it's off or allows Onoff Business.
- Update: update Android in Settings > Software update.
- Reinstall: in the app, sign out (☰ menu), delete it, reinstall it from Google Play and sign back in. Accept all requested notifications and permissions, except Onoff Calls, which should stay off.
