Why can’t I call certain Belgian, Swiss, or Monégasque numbers?

With Onoff Business, you can make calls across all of Europe.
However, some Belgian and Monégasque operators have specific rules regarding calls originating from VoIP numbers.

1. Restrictions imposed by certain operators

Some operators in Belgium and Monaco may:

  • block calls coming from VoIP numbers, or
  • apply very high surcharges for these calls.

These restrictions are imposed by the operators themselves, not by Onoff.

2. Why does Onoff block these calls?

Onoff Business uses your SIM card as the calling channel to avoid any out-of-bundle charges on your mobile plan.

When foreign operators apply unusually high fees:
➡️ we block calls to those numbers to prevent unexpected costs on your bill.

3. Why did it work last month and not now?

The pricing of these operators changes frequently, sometimes monthly.
This means:

  • a number may be reachable one month,
  • and blocked the next if the operator increases its tariffs.

These fluctuations are beyond Onoff’s control.

4. Need assistance?

If you’re unable to reach a Belgian or Monégasque number, feel free to contact us:
support@onoffbusiness.com

We can:

  • check the current status of the number,
  • contact the operator if necessary.

However, we cannot guarantee a resolution, as the restrictions come from the foreign operators themselves.
