If you are experiencing network issues (slow connection, no internet, unstable WiFi, or difficulty using apps like Onoff), follow these steps to identify and fix the problem.
1. Check your physical connection
- Make sure your device is connected to WiFi, Ethernet, or mobile data.
- Confirm that your router is powered on and that cables are properly plugged in.
2. Test your internet connection
Try loading a webpage or using a speed test service.
If nothing loads:
- Your internet connection may be down.
- Restart your router (unplug for 10 seconds, then plug back in).
3. Restart your devices
Sometimes a simple reboot solves temporary network errors.
- Restart your computer or phone.
- Restart your modem/router.
4. Try another network
To isolate the issue:
- Connect to a different WiFi network.
- Switch from WiFi to mobile data, or vice versa.
- If it works elsewhere → your original network is the issue.
5. Disable interfering features
Some settings can block your connection:
- VPN
- Proxy
- Adblockers
- Firewalls
Turn them off temporarily to test.
6. Forget and reconnect to your WiFi
On your device:
- Go to WiFi settings
- Select your network
- Tap Forget
- Reconnect and re-enter your password
This resets corrupted WiFi settings.
7. Move closer to the router
Weak signal can cause:
- call drops
- slow loading
- inability to use VoIP features
Try standing closer to the router or removing physical obstacles.
8. Update your device and apps
Keep your system and apps up to date:
- OS updates
- Network drivers (on computers)
- App updates (Google Play / App Store)
Updates often fix connectivity bugs.
9. Check with your internet provider
If the issue persists:
- Your ISP may be experiencing an outage
- Your plan may have speed restrictions
- A technical fault may be affecting your line
Contact them to confirm.
