Using Multi-Device with Onoff Business

The multi-device feature allows you to connect your Onoff account on up to three devices at the same time, such as your mobile phone and your computer via the Web App. This makes it easy to stay connected wherever you work.

However, multi-device is designed for personal flexibility — not for number sharing between multiple users.

Android: (☰) → Settings → Account settings → Connected devices

IOS : (☰) → Account → Account → Connected devices

Webapp: Your name on the top right → Preferences → Multi-device management

Device Limits

  • You can have up to 3 devices connected at the same time.

What You Can Do

  • View all devices currently connected to your account.
  • Disconnect any device you no longer want connected.

How Multi-Device Works

With multi-device enabled, you can:

Use the same Onoff number on several devices simultaneously

Receive calls and messages on your preferred device

Switch between mobile and web without losing continuity

For example, you can be logged in on:

Your smartphone

Your laptop (Web App)

A secondary device

Important Limitations

Multi-device is not intended for shared usage of a single number across multiple people. When used as a shared line, some features may not work optimally.

For example:

If Onoff Calls is activated on one phone, incoming calls will be routed primarily to that device.

If Onoff Calls is enabled on multiple phones with different configurations, call behavior may become unstable or inconsistent.

This can lead to missed calls or unexpected routing.

Best Practices When Using Two Phones

If two phones are connected to the same account, we recommend the following setup for optimal performance:

Configure both devices with the same call settings.

Avoid activating different call modes on each phone.

Disable contact synchronization to prevent conflicts or duplicates.

Keeping both devices aligned ensures smoother communication and reduces potential issues.
