The web app (phone.onoffbusiness.com) lets you call from your computer, with no phone or SIM card. You need a recent browser, a microphone and a stable internet connection.
Before you start: allow the microphone
The first time you sign in, your browser asks for microphone access: allow it. Without it, a warning banner appears and calls are disabled. If you declined, allow the microphone in your browser's site settings (icon to the left of the address).
Make a call
| From | How |
|---|---|
| The dial pad | Click the Dial pad icon in the quick actions bar, then search for a contact or enter a number. |
| The Calls page | Hover over a number and click the green icon, or open the call and use the call button in the right panel. |
| The Messages page | Open the conversation and use the call button in the right panel. |
| The Voicemail page | Open the voicemail and click the call button to call back. |
| The Contacts page | Hover over the contact or open their profile, then click the call button. |
If you have several numbers, the app asks which one to call from. Click the green button of the number you want. If no number is enabled for calls, enable one in your settings.
During the call
The call panel appears in the bottom right. Once connected, you can:
- mute or put on hold;
- open the keypad (for voice menus);
- add notes and tags;
- transfer the call;
- see the duration and, if available, the connection quality.
To hang up, click the red button. A summary shows for a few seconds, with shortcuts to call back, send a message or open the contact.
Receive a call
You receive calls as long as you are signed in and at least one number is enabled for calls. When a call arrives, the panel shows the caller with Answer and Decline buttons, a ringtone plays and a browser notification appears if you allowed it.
If you don't answer, the call goes to your voicemail.
Call history
The Calls page lists your calls from newest to oldest, with an All / Missed filter. Click a call to see the contact, number and previous interactions. You can also delete the call, block the contact or share their details. History is synced with the mobile app.
