Bank codes, two-factor authentication codes, platform alerts: Onoff numbers are real mobile numbers and receive most of these SMS, just like a SIM-based number. Receiving them is free, anywhere in the world, with no roaming fees.
Receive a code
- Check that your Onoff number is active.
- Enter it in international format in the service's form (for example +33 6…).
- Open the Messages tab in the app, mobile or web. Most codes arrive within 10 to 30 seconds.
If the code doesn't arrive
- Check that the number was entered in international format.
- Ask the service for a new code.
- Try another verification method if the service offers one.
- If the problem persists, email support@onoffbusiness.com with the service concerned and the time of the request.
Limitations
Some senders block numbers that aren't linked to a SIM card: a few online banks and fintechs, some public services. In that case the block comes from the sender, not from Onoff. For a critical service, test delivery before relying on it.
